Study Tour to the State of Israel by Nigerian Legislators and Officials

Theme: The Role of the Legislators in Safeguarding Homeland/National Security
Objective: The core objective is to present participants with the Israeli experience of demonstrable successes in counter terrorism combat while safeguarding and strengthening homeland/national security, thereby providing a valuable lesson for adaption and emulation in invigorating the on-going counter terrorism combat in Nigeria.
Methodology: This has been designed to include:
- Lectures and discussions on national security issues and allied matters; and
- Visit to, and interaction with the principal officers of institutions and communities that are driving the success of Israel’s homeland/national security, which is conceivable as an ideal that transcends military might to embody strong foreign relations; and a stable, resilient society as well as an economy with high level of technological development.
Nomination Deadline: December 17, 2012
Fees: U$D4,865 per participant for the 7-day stay in Israel, and covers accommodation (based on single occupancy), full board, study visit, airport transfers, medical insurance, excursion to holy and historic sites. However, this sum does not cover the cost of return air ticket and provision for Estacode Allowance.
